The Secret Plan

Justin and I went down to Fort Lauderdale, FL for spring break in March (my Christmas present from him). We went to a few Cardinals spring training games (!!!) and after dinner one night we went for a walk on the beach by the ocean. There were these cute little birds skating in the sand right where the ocean came up so we stopped to watch for a bit. We were standing there cuddling together and he asked me how much I loved him then he told me how much he loved me. (I had no idea anything was going on. A couple months before this, we had a huge "discussion" which ended in my crying b/c he said he didn't think he wanted to get engaged until after he graduated med school....2 years from now. He had the ring sitting there right next to him the whole dang time....he had bought it at Thanksgiving). Then he asked if I thought I could spend the rest of my life w/ him and I said "yeah, I guess so. I'll have to think about it" (hehehe) and asked him if he could spend the rest of his life w/ me. He said he didn't think he could spend the rest of his life WITHOUT me and then got down on one knee and pulled this gorgeous ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him. All I could say for a minute was "Oh my lord Justin Cox" until I realized I hadn't answered him and then I said yes and gave him a huge hug. Unbeknownst to us, not far away on a little baywatch-like stand were six people and when I hugged him, they burst out in cheers and applause.
